The Inside Out is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. These photographs will serve as a means to expose the discrimination of minority communities in Pakistan, and to initiate dialogue on the issue through these personal portraits.
The photographs will be up at two secret undisclosed locations on the 26th of May at midnight across Karachi. To enter
You can submit as many entries as you want for the duration of the TEDxKarachi Inside Out Social media game ending
Deadline is the Thursday 26th May at 11:00pm. Winners will be announced anytime after that with the hope that they can attend the TEDxKarachi event on Friday at 3:30pm
The project is committed to a common belief in the peaceful coexistence and acceptance of all communities, and a mission to engage and educate the general public, about the persecution that these communities are subject to.
The INSIDE OUT project is a creation of the street artist JR, the recipient of the 2011 TED Prize (watch JR’s TED talk here).
